Jelena Janev

Jelena Janev (Belgrade, 1972) is a sculptor. She received a BA in Fine Arts in sculpture and teaching of fine artsfrom Academy of Art in Novi Sad (1998) and a MA in Fine Arts in sculpture from the same academy (1998).She was enrolled in sculpture classes held by professor David Lobdell at New Mexico Highlands University, Las Vegas, New Mexico, USA (1998, 1999). She had three solo and numerous group exhibitions in Serbia and abroad. She is a recipient of Award for sculpture at 26th Novi Sad Exhibition (1997). Her work is in The Collection of The Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. She was selected to participate in International Sculpture Symposium “Terra” inKikinda (2002). She is a member of Association of the Artists of Vojvodina(SULUV). She is Assistant professor at Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and isenrolledin the PhD program in Scene Design at the same faculty.
