UNFINISHED STORIES / PHASE: EVENT / SYNTHESIS PROJECT 2020/2021

The event called Unfinished Stories was presented to the public on May 28th, 2021 on Ribarsko ostrvo in Novi Sad. The exhibition is the final work of the Event phase of this year’s Synthesis Project, which is realized every school year as part of the third year of basic studies in Scene Architecture, Technique and Design at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.

The theme of this year’s Synthesis Project was the Ambient Scenic Spaces of Novi Sad: Performances about the City, within which students explored Novi Sad, Fisherman’s Island and their relationship.

With various spatial means, the students intervened in the ambience of Šodroš beach, leading the audience through a series of individual stories. With their stories, they opened various personal topics encouraged by the ambience of the island and the problems it faces. Realizing that the story of the Fisherman is unfinished, open for further consideration, discussion and retelling, student artwork is a continuation of the story of the island, all with the aim of discovering and then presenting other potential directions in which the Fisherman’s Island could grow.
