Engineering master’s studies
SCENE ARCHITECTURE AND TECHNIQUE
The Scene Architecture and Technique master’s program combines engineering and artistic disciplines, giving students specialized knowledge in scene architecture and technologies, as well as the technical production of scene spaces and events. Candidates who have completed undergraduate studies in a faculty of technical sciences in Serbia or abroad and have at least 240 ECTS credits are eligible to apply. The program lasts one year (2 semesters), during which students earn 60 ECTS credits and obtain the academic title Master of Engineering in Scene Architecture and Technique. The program is delivered through theoretical and practical courses in two key areas: Scene Architecture and Technologies. Students become familiar with the typologies of contemporary scene spaces and their functional and technological principles, while gaining the knowledge and skills needed to design and develop scene structures, spaces, and events.
Technical Production of Scene Spaces and Events.
Students learn to conceptualize, design, technically develop, and realize scene spaces and events. Students may focus their interests on either or both areas through elective courses and their master’s project. Graduates can become experts in the broad and still insufficiently developed field of scene architecture, technology, and technical production. Upon completing the program, students will be able to design complex structures and spaces for live events, as well as conceptualize technical and technological systems within audience and stage spaces of different forms, scales, and characteristics. Students will develop the specific knowledge and skills required to conceptualize, design, and realize spatial installations of different forms and scales, particularly in theatre and other visual arts—including scenography, exhibition design, artistic installations, and architectural pavilions. The program connects professional practice with education and offers opportunities for professional engagement during studies. The program has established partnerships with numerous institutions, organizations, festivals, and projects, giving students opportunities for internships and potential professional work.
